New Year, New You? How are those resolutions going?

Is 2019 the year you are going to get fit?  Quit smoking?  Run a marathon? So many of our New Year Resolutions focus on our health and wellbeing, don’t they?  What about your workplace wellbeing – does that need a reboot for 2019?

2019 sees the EMA Events team continuing our commitment to wellbeing in the workplace.  We believe workplace wellbeing requires constant improvement to be efficient and reaps great rewards such as improved creativity and productivity.

We promote a flexible working approach.  Our team takes time out to spend with family or promote their own wellbeing, meaning that we are motivated, well-rested and engaged in delivering exceptional events. We start each day with a team meeting which helps clear the morning fog, ensure we are supporting our teammates and focuses our priorities for the day before the rest of the working world wakes up.

We are a close team and create space for colleagues to discuss successes and struggles, regularly working as a whole team to brainstorm and troubleshoot.  Having the skills to give structured feedback, and clear communication practices greatly improves the efficiency of the team.  In a high-pressured industry such as events these skills are essential.

The EMA Events team are not alone in focusing on wellbeing in 2019. Have you seen the #LiveLifeBetter hashtag popping up on social media recently? The hashtag has been used by some of the world’s best-known entrepreneurs such as Virgin’s very own Richard Branson, who wrote about his own approach to workplace wellbeing.

So, how can you focus on wellbeing in your own workplace? Creating space away from screens to communicate with colleagues is essential to boost morale, creativity and productivity as relationships grow and team dynamics improve.

An incredibly effective way to kick-start or renew a commitment to team wellbeing is to host a team building event.  The simple act of getting out of the office and into a fresh environment puts everyone on a level playing field.

EMA Events can deliver a diverse range of events to suit your specific objectives, and fit with your organisation.  Perhaps you’d love a competitive motorised day, enabling colleagues to burn off some steam with our Quad Trails and high-speed Rage Buggies. Or maybe a facilitated Mindfulness Workshop is more your thing?

From Country Pursuits to Treasure Trails, Escape Rooms and more, we’ve got a team build to suit you, whether your objective is to address a key organisational hurdle or to simply have fun and say thank you to your team.  Want to know more?  Get in touch!
